Application: Normal allocation of the Charité
Food was free. There were also changing.
I was four months there half a. I was 4 weeks on trauma surgery and general surgery 4. The others who were there longer, are more spinning, in the vascular surgery and so on, or were partly just longer on the respective stations. I think, two or four a total of 16 weeks were allowed to choose that which, on which station they wanted, and the rest of the time was allocated.
The emergency surgery was actually okay. Everyone was divided into the emergency room for two weeks. There, it was very nice, if too small, and also educational, as far as possible (I was unfortunately a fairly uneventful time there, but for what no one can).
After that, I was two weeks on station. Had to ensure a bit myself, that I could go on business. In the morning, getting some blood samples were done, that the lesion were earmarked. We were regularly once divided into the operating room. Second Assistant in the trauma surgery makes is often not very fun, because you must keep what pretty and bent sweating stand there, but I thought it was still quite exciting.
The attendings and residents were actually all pretty faces and love to answer questions. They have explained but isn't much or shows they had to demand it's himself.
Time was, I think, from 7:45 to end...? Don't remember. Just eight and a half hours later... But if nothing was going on, you could go sooner.
