Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Elective Report from Sept. 10, 2016
After 2 months of birth assistance abroad, I spent half of my GYN Tertials in operative Gynecology may Street. Much positive to report:-detailed and professional introduction of the hospital and the Tertials by Fr. Pohle (PJ officers). I was able to plan my rotations through the desired areas of gynaecology: 6Wo. OP, 1 where. Fertility Centre, 1 where. Obstetrics. Additional office hours and emergency room if I had time.
-very committed and flexible PJ mentor
-Young and motivated team of doctors with a super atmosphere
-Structured training plan
-PJ - locker room with private key
-voluntary weekend possible, with Ausgleichsfrei
Activities: blood and needle set (but not predominantly), patient admission (independent history, physical examination and patient presentation), non invasive diagnostics (ECG writing, sometimes sono and GYN examination).
Every day surgery: wide operating range, where it controls the camera in laparoscopic surgery, gets many statements and end up getting can sewing. As a 1.Assistenz at the table on smaller Eingriffen...genau the opposite of "Shut up and keep hook". Each lesion is in the OP plan, so that you can prepare yourself or can replace the OPs with the other PJ-ler.
For operative gynaecology, may Street is absolutely recommended! I had fun there.
